Thursday, March 3rd, members of the Sarasota Pet Community gathered for Sarasota Pet Magazine‘s Annual Awards celebration.
Hosted by Hotel Indigo on Boulevard of the Arts, more than 150 people came to acknowledge contributions by rescue groups, and receive their awards. Winners were chosen by popular vote in 23 categories from Best Pet Sitter, Veterinarian, Groomer, Agility Trainer and Doggie Daycare.
Candace Botha, Publisher of Sarasota Pet emceed the event with Animal Communicator, Lori Michel and Marne Mosier Weiss. Hotel Indigo, one of the few downtown hotels that is dog-friendly provided a convivial setting and delectable appetizers.
“We were thrilled to work with the Hotel Indigo in this beautiful venue, and for acknowledge the hard-working members of the pet community. The added bonus is that we raised close to $1000.00 in two hours that will benefit our local rescue groups” Candace told our Rover Reporter.
In a business category that frequently calls for blue jeans, sneakers and a “pick-up” bag, it was great to see everyone relaxed, smiling and sporting their dress-up clothes.
Congratulations to Sarasota Pet Magazine for a wonderful event and to all of the winners for their achievements!
