Dr. Frances Baker

Dr. Frances Baker is a 1980 graduate of the Auburn University  College of Veterinary Medicine.  Since that time she has been in private small animal practice in Alabama, Kentucky, and Florida.  She recieved training and certification in veterinary acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 1995 and since then has acted as a Teaching Associate, Laboratory Coordinator, Course Coordinator and Lecturer.  Currently she is a certified examiner for the IVAS Basic Acupuncture Certification Course.  She is a member of the IVAS Board of Directors as the current President  and is a charter member and former Board member of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA).  She has continued training in Chinese herbal medicine since 2000 and completed the training course in veterinary Homeopathy in 2001.  Other interests are Bach Flower Therapy, nutrition and homotoxicology.  Dr. Baker is a 5 year member of the Conference Committee for the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA) for whom she has also lectured and coordinated their fundraiser for student scholarship funds.  Dr Baker has been a private practice employee and relief veterinarian and she currently maintains a small animal house call practice in Manatee and Sarasota counties in Florida where she resides o
