Natural Awakenings held their annual Ecofest event on Saturday in celebration of the 41st anniversary of EarthDay. The event featured earth-friendly alternatives for homeowners and consumers. Natural health remedies and energy saving services and products were featured.
We were drawn to the two adorable dogs in the Dalmation Rescue group booth. Spirit, a Dalmation mix was incredibly even tempered and at ease, in spite of the commotion.
We asked the volunteers about this other dog. . .looking more like a Border Collie mix, how he happened to be with Dalmation Rescue.
“If they are black and white, or have spots, we pull them”. This dog was on his last day. Now in foster homes, you learn more about Spirit or the Border Collie (?) mix by contacting DalDogResuce@Yahoo.com.
If you missed the Sarasota event, no problem, Ecofest will be held next week April 16 in Bradenton, at their Farmers Market from 8am to 4pm.
