Friday evening, October 28, 4pm – 7pm. Get the weekend started on the right spooky paw with the WoofGang Bakery Lakewood Ranch Halloween Party. Refreshments, a Dog Trick Contest, costumed pups will be photographed for a contest that will take place on Facebook. Not just for dogs, bring the whole family!
Then on Saturday morning the party keeps rolling at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds.
From 9:00am – 2:30pm, it’s the 14th Annual Howl-O-Ween Fall Festival & Pet Costume Contest! The first 100 entrants will receive goodie bags (pre-registration available at the Humane Society’s web site); Cost is $10 per entry. They’ll have an agility course set up, face painting, food, refreshments, prizes and trophies for the doggie costume contest, pet vendors, a bounce house and face painting for the kids, ice cream, plus llamas and miniature horses! Call Ginny at 941-955-4131 ext 101 to register. Day of the event registration starts at 9am. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Sarasota County. Bring your lawn chair!
Up County? Sniglet’s Dog Bakery has a fun-filled afternoon plan for pups.Included in the festivities will be a pups parade, a pet costume contest, a photo booth and a little spooky something for all who dare to attend. Sniglets is located at 2827 University Parkway. From 2-5.
