Due to inclement weather, Organizers have rescheduled this event to Sunday May 6th for Dog Day Afternoon. Adorable adoptables will be on hand from local rescue groups inside the showroom for you to meet and greet. This is a great opportunity to talk with the individuals who have been caring for the pups and find a good match for your family.
Is your pup a fashionista? Bring him or her to the event to enter the Costume Contest emceed by The Doggie Diva. Last year entries included Scarlett O’Hara, Pepe LePugh and the Motorcycling Maltese.
If your dog is more action than fashion, you’ll be able to put their feet in the ring for a try at some basic agility with Mark Shambour from K9 Korral. Agility is a great way to bond with your dog and get exercise too.
We’ll be looking forward to great food from The Bearded Clam, face-painting for kids and adults, music, and local pet vendors with important accessories and information for you and your dogs.
Last year more than 20 dogs found their forever home at the first Dog Day Afternoon. Meet the community and enjoy this fun-filled day to benefit local rescue.
Join us on Sunday May 6th from Noon to 4 at Gettel Toyota and check out the new Venza – its been voted one of the most dog-friendly vehicles out there!
A special thanks to Jeramie Snelling, General Manager of Gettel Toyota for hosting this event with his own dog Stanley.
And to Dr. Anne Chauvet of Critical Vet Care our Anchor Sponsor!
Dog Day Afternoon is co-presented by Sarasota Pet Magazine, Manatee Pet Magazine, SarasotaDog.com and BradentonDog.com.
