Dog beach advocates for a designated dog space at Long Boat Key are still at work. Plans at this point are being made for a commission only review to present the pro’s, con’s and special dispensations that must be taken under consideration. This is somewhat of an arduous process but must be undertaken carefully to ensure that all sides of the issue are covered. Look for further updates in the Fall and a public review when season is high – probably after Christmas of 2012.
