It’s a Coonhound Takeover this week as we present a pair of sibling Treeing Walker Coonhound dogs. First we met pretty Miss Cheyanne.
This sweet angel was a little skeptical as to why she was being brought to the conference room inside. Right away she seemed to be sort of a shy girl. I gave her a few scratches on the back, at which point she sniffed me up and gave me a tail wag of approval.
Once the camera started flashing though, it was all over. Cheyanne was not a fan and she wanted nothing more than the comforts of Kristen’s arms (staff member at SCAS). As you can see in the pictures, she is tri-colored. She is approximately 2 years and 9 months old, just like her brother below.
Out of the gate, Platinum was pretty out-going. He is also tri-colored but has some silver in his coat, which is most likely how he got his name. This handsome boy and his sister were brought to the shelter back in May. when his owner could no longer afford basic veterinary care and decided to give them up in hopes of a better life.
Platinum had a cherry eye and was recently taken to the veterinarian to have surgery. There were some complications but he’s now back at SCAS successfully recovering. He loves all the people he meets and is a super sweet boy.
