Tomorrow is the first day of autumn and here at SarasotaDog.com, we are welcoming the cool-down season with open arms. We hope you have a chance to enjoy the weekend. But until then, take a gander at your adoptable dogs of the week, Donnie & Fareeka.
Though they came to Sarasota Animal Services 3 months apart, Donnie & Fareeka seem to be a match made in heaven. Heck, maybe they’re long lost cousins! Both are young pups at 3 years old AND both are tricolor Treeing Walker Coonhounds.
Donnie & Fareeka get to spend play time together when they’re not in their separate kennels. First we the pretty lady, Fareeka for a little snapshot session. She had a smile on her face that lasts for days. She was very sweet and superbly happy. This gorgeous gal is all legs and of course, love. Fareeka is spayed and up to date on all her shots.

Next we scooped up Donnie. Though he happily obliged to stretch out his legs, he was on the timid side for us. He was just a little unsure what he was supposed to do, which was just plain cute altogether.

After a few belly rubs and scratches, we managed to capture how sweet and submissive this leggy boy really is. While taking his pictures, Fareeka started to bark and cry. I think she really missed her buddy to pieces while he was gone. Because these two have bonded so well, the shelter would LOVE to see these two find a home together, though not necessary. Donnie here is neutered and also up to date on his routine shots.
