Trick or Treat? Meet Saber & Rabbit

Dressing up for Halloween can be so much fun, especially when it comes to creative costumes for animals. Don’t have a pet to dress up? We can fix that for you, no problem! Meet your adoptable dogs of the week, Saber & Rabbit.

Saber is black Chow Chow and Australian Shepherd mix. This neutered boy is about a year and 9 months old. He’s been hanging out at SCAS since the end of August with his other Chow Chow pal Sal. Sal was recently adopted and now it’s Saber’s turn.

Sadly, Saber has been overlooked due to BBH: he’s Big, Black and Hairy. We’re unsure why black dogs are consistently overlooked, especially since black dogs obviously do not look quite as dirty as their white dog counterparts. So there are some advantages! Saber has a fun-loving personality. He would do best in a home with kids over the age of 12. He’s a mellow boy that enjoys long walks and minds his manners on a leash.
Next up we have Rabbit. He’s a fawn and white Pointer and Pit Bull Terrier. This 1 year old neutered boy has been at the shelter since the beginning of September.

Rabbit is an all-around great dog. He’s super friendly and would do swimmingly in a home with children. Like most pups, he’s a slave to belly rub! He would be perfect in a home with other dogs where he can run and play to keep him happy and healthy.
