Saturday October 27th – The Halloween Party at Poochies Pampered Pups. If you haven’t visited this unique doggy day care facility and grooming salon, this is the perfect time to pop in.
From Noon to 4 on Saturday they’ll be celebrating Halloween with a costume party for dogs, food and fun in their 6000 square foot indoor-outdoor space. Be sure to say hi to the owner, Rhonda. Poochie’s is located at 7672 South Tamiami Trail on the west side, just south of the Waterfront Restaurant.
Up for trick or treating a little later in the evening? Head over to Woof Gang Bakery‘s Howl-O-Ween party from 4-7 in Lakewood Ranch.
WoofGang Bakery specializes in dog cookies handcrafted with human grade ingredients, and they know how to throw a party. 
Alyssa the manager has created a special Droolette Wheel for the event, with fun prizes like gift certificates for training, boarding and grooming – even a pet portrait by Drue Duerschmidt.
Sunday from 2-6 The Local Bean on Siesta Key is throwing a benefit for the Wildlife Center in Venice and our friends at Satchel’s Last Resort. Live music, raffles, food and a costume contest are planned. 
Please bring a donation of cleaning supplies, towels, pet treats or just old fashioned cash or check to help local needy pets.
