Gimme Shelter Pets’ Annual Hair of The Dog fundraiser was held at Beulah on September 16.
Attendees supporting Michelle Sampson’s rescue were treated to sumptuous specialities of Beulah; pizza, spinach tarts, and bruschetta.
Intricate henna tatoos adorned arms and shoulders in the crowd.
A friendly game of cards was played in the kitschy, Charleston-style courtyard.
Thanks to Michelle and all of the supporters of Gimme Shelter Pets for helping Florida’s dogs in need.
About Gimme Shelter Pets:
Gimme Shelter Pet Adoption is a 501(c) 3 non-profit, charitable organization founded in 2005. We are a completely volunteer run organization whose purpose is to rescue animals out of overcrowded shelters where they are at risk for disease and euthanasia. The animals are fostered in volunteer foster homes where we can keep them loved, healthy, and socialized until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Our hope is that all the animals placed through our organization will never experience being homeless or unloved again.
Approximately 8-12 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 5-9 million of those animals are euthanized due to overcrowding. Too many animals, and not enough people to adopt or temporarily foster them, result in the killing of reasonably young, friendly and healthy pets each day.
Please Donate and Help Save an Animals Life
Donations help with the cost of rescue which includes; food, shelter fees, medications, spay/neuter, all shots, heartworm testing and treatment, monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, microchips, dentals, surgeries, skin treatments, and any other health care deemed necessary by our vets. Our vets offer reduced charges so that we can keep our adoption fees reasonable, but their services are not free. We often rely on extra donations to pay expenses when the cost of care exceeds a realistic adoption fee. No members or volunteers are paid in any way from donations. All monies go towards the care of our foster animals. Donations are tax deductible.
