Looking for a place where you dog will be welcomed this weekend? Check out the Humane Society of Lakewood Ranch’s 2nd Annual Dog Days of Autumn. The event will be held at Greenbrook Adventure Park 13400 Adventure Place from 11-4. Local pet community members Lori Michel of Animal Chit Chat will be there, along with Ellie’s Edible Treats and Dawg Biskuits and lots of others.
This is the second year and organizers are bringing back the wildly popular hot dog competition. Local culinary specialist Tommy Klauber and WWSB’s John Scalzi will be on hand judging the myriad choices of delectable hot dogs. Of course there will be a doggy parade, bring your well behaved, leashed pup for a fun afternoon and a mighty worthy cause. And don’t forget the popular Doggie Play Date at Poochies Pampered Pups from 10am-noon. Dogs of all sizes are welcome to come play and romp!
