It’s beginning to look alot like SEASON

After a long sleepy summer in Sarasota, the calendar is suddenly jumping with events! The Third Annual Hair Of The Dog fundraiser is this Thursday at Maximo.  Starting at 7, this mystical evening features Mediums, Animal Communicators, Japanese Palm Reading, music and more.  Tickets are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.  Maximo is next to the Opera House on First Street.  The event benefits Michelle Sampson’s 501 (c) 3, Gimme Shelter Pets.

On September 29th, Sarasota County’s Animal Services will host their adoptathon with 50% off adoption fees.  If you are looking for a new furry friend, this is an ideal time for a meet and greet.  Got a house full?  No problem come out and meet the crew that looks after Sarasota’s most needy and see how you can help by walking a dog or petting a kitty.  Shelter pets need love and attention keep their moral up.  Happy dogs and cats are much more easily adopted.  So, even if you can’t adopt, you can still help.

More of an early bird than a night owl?  Mark your calendar for this fun golf outing to benefit Satchel’s Last Resort!  The first annual golf outing will be October 13th, 2012, 7:30 a.m. at The Preserve at Tara Golf Club.

The funds raised will help  care for and save more animals in need.   To register; go to www.satchelslastresort.org and click on the pars 4 paws logo!
