Brooke Hann spends some of her free time volunteering at Satchel’s Last Resort. Her experience has been full of joy. She shares some of that here.
SarasotaDog: Tell us a little bit about your connections with animals.
Brooke: I grew up with dogs my whole life. I got my own dog when I was 22 , and I have had 4 more dogs since then. One of them we just adopted from Satchel’s!
SarasotaDog: Is there a particularly quirky or fun dog at Satchel’s you like to spend time with?
Brooke: Eugene!! He’s so funny and he loves everyone. I have had the opportunity to take may dogs to events. I fall in love with all of them. Most of them have been adopted which makes me so happy!
SarasotaDog: If you could share a tidbit of advice with someone considering volunteering, what would the be?
Brooke: Definitely volunteer at Satchel’s. There are so many different ways to volunteer, and you can do it when it’s convenient for you. It’s so rewarding. I’ve met many friends through volunteering at Satchels. It has truly changed my life!
