A beautiful day downtown today and as usual the Farmer’s Market was busy, busy with people and dogs. There was an extra air of excitement as artists and craftspeople set up their tents and wares for the throng of people to come. In the early, early morning it was still cool and we met Ponshka, a personality plus Yorkshire Terrier.
Ponshka, which means jelly donut in Polish, is visiting with her jewelry-making parents from Wellington Florida. They are here to bring their unique, hand-made pieces to market at the craft fair.
A veritable team of huskies navigated through the fruits and vegetables. Fun to watch and obviously well-loved.
The Arts and Crafts Fair is running tomorrow (Sunday March 27) too. If you couldn’t today, take a stroll through on Sunday and say hi to Ponshka. Be sure to check out Michelle Mardis booth, she paints amazing pet portraits.
We did not get a chance to meet Michelle, but we did learn from her web site that she is a Clearwater based artist. Great work, and very easy on dog lovers eyes. You can see more of her work here.
