This weekend is chockfull of dog-friendly events and fun activities to benefit animals, just one more reason to love SRQ!
Get it started with a whole new you! The Forum Salon will be offering a Cut-A-Thon to benefit shelter animals at the Humane Society of Sarasota County. From 9am at to 4pm on Saturday, hair stylists will donate their time to create a brand new you. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the shelter. Call ahead 365-8165 or just stop by.
Down at Historic Spanish Point, Saturday is Pups at the Point. You and your dog are welcome to stroll through the park and enjoy what Mrs. Potter Palmer established as her personal retreat in 1910. Enjoy the gardens, buildings and take a look at the view that Mrs. Palmer said reminded her of the view of the Naples Bay in Italy. From 9am to noon pm on Saturday.

Don’t let the Sunday evening blues get you down! Join local dog lovers at the Palm Cafe at 1756 N. Honore (next to the Goodwill) for music and fun from the Sarasota Gold Band, an amazing 17 piece band playing smooth classics with a jazzy influence and uptempo pop classics reworked with a twist. The $5.00 cover charge benefits the HSSC.
