If you walk your dog off-leash at Red Bug Slough, beware! It is not legal to do this and residents whose yards back onto the Slough are complaining. Some say that they are watching for off-leash dogs and calling in complaints to Sarasota Animal Services. The citations are not nuisances charges, they start at $60.00. So be sure to keep your pup on a lead at Red Bug.
