This is going to be a great weekend to be outside with your dog! If you are looking to adopt, there are several adoption events this weekend, check the SarasotaDog.com calendar for times and locations or our list of shelters and rescue groups.
If you are out and about early, the Sarasota Farmer’s Market welcomes dogs on leash. You can peruse the local fruits and veggies and enjoy breakfast at the dog-friendly Cafe Americano at 1409 Main Street.
Up for something more adventurous? Conditions should be ideal for a romp at the dog beach in Venice on Saturday. It’s just sounth of Sharkey’s and is the only dog beach for miles around.
On Sunday at 12:30 – the Sarasota Dog Meetup Group will be meeting at the Madfish Grill. After a light bite, we’ll be heading over to Lakeview Paw Park. The lunch/brunch portion of the Meetup is already full, but feel free to join us at the park about 1:45.
