This weekend while you are out looking for stocking stuffers, stop by and support the Protest against Puppy Mills. Your time will be a holiday gift to suffering dogs and a statement to local retailers that dogs are not products. Two locations that are no doubt on your shopping route, Petland at Fruitville and Honore in the Target Plaze from 12-1:30 on Saturday. And on Sunday at Puppytown (on 41 across the street from Best Buy) at the same time, 12-1:30. Bring a sign or just be there and show your support. Let’s make it known that Sarasota will NOT tolerate dog cruelty! Remember: PUPPIES ARE NOT PRODUCTS!!
Saturday only at the Humane Society of Sarasota County from 11-4 is Deck the Paws! Join the festivities at this shelter for Animal Communications, Raffles, Pet Adoptions and activities for kids.
Sarasota in Defense of Animals will be at Petsmart in the Landings from 11 am til 3:30 pm with adorable adoptables ready to have their holiday wish granted by going home with a loving family for Christmas. Santa will also be on-site to take photos with Fido; a portion of the proceeds to benefit SDA.
