Florida Corgi’s unite on November 11th, 2017 for the annual Florida Corgi Picnic. This joyous celebration of all things Corgi benefits Corgi Aid.
The love of this special breed brings people and Corgis together for a celebratory day. In addition to the picnic, attendess will enjoy races, contests auction and raffles will be held.
Organizers have arranged for accommodations at the Best Western Beach Hotel and Suites, where the event will be held. Rooms are also available at the nearby Days Inn Cocoa Beach. Both hotels are waiving pet fees.
Last year more than 300 Corgi dogs (aka Corgwyn) were in attendance. Sarasota County resident Bob Marotta made the trip with his two dogs, SparkPlug and Trotter. Bob told us.”It feels good to connect with other Corgi lovers and even better to know that we are benefiting Corgis in need. Making the drive to Cocoa Beach is something I look forward to, knowing that I will be seeing old friends and making new ones!”
So that you can prepare, the categories for contests are Best Trick, Best Dressed Male Corgi and Best Dressed Female Corgi.
For the first time, a Corgi race will be held this year. SparkPlug,Bob Marotta’s dog is thought to be a contender. He’s getting some practice in early.
There are even some after picnic Yappy Hours planned. Your Corgi will have a blast, we bet you will too!
