Dog Day Afternoon: This Saturday at Gettel Toyota

This Saturday: May 14th from 12:00 to 4:00 at Gettel Toyota in Bradenton local rescue groups and shelters will meet and greet the community for a fun-filled family day.

Mark Shambour of K9 Korral, an experienced agility trainer will offer interactive agility demonstrations. If you’ve never tried agility with your dog, this is a great way to get your feet in the ring and try it!

Positively Simple Dog Training will be on site to offer a mini-training session with question and answers.

BBQ from Double Bubba, DJ Valerie will be spinning tunes, a drawing contest for kids, free face painting and more!

Most importantly, off-site adoption counselors from the Racing Dog Rescue Project, Humane Society Of Manatee, Canine Castaways, Safe Haven and Satchel’s Last Resort, will be at the ready to help you decide what kind of dog is right for your family . . . as your first dog, or to give your dog some company.

Mark the date, come out and meet the dogs, and the people who care for these pets while they are in transition. Oh, and if you need supplies – CollarPlanet.com will be there with very cool accessories for your pooch . .

and you can check out the Doggie “Place” Mat from RamonaLovesDogs – its a stylish, training tool for dogs about town!

Did we mention the Venza? Toyota makes one of the most dog-friendly cars on the market today. The Venza is an easy in and out for most pups and special accessories are available with seatbelts, ramps and barriers.

See you there! Noon to 4: Gettel Toyota is located at 6423 14th Street W. Bradenton

That’s US 41 between S. Palm Lane and 66th Avenue West
