Whether you are a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat or Republican to the core, there is one thing all dog lovers agree on: animal abuse is wrong. Pet stores that sell puppies have to get their “product” somewhere and in most cases it is from puppy mills. What happens at a puppy mill is that “breeder” dogs are never given a chance to have their own life.
In many cases their feet may never touch the earth. There a lots of web sites to learn more about that, but what we want to emphasize is that YOU can do something to help stop this inhumane treatment.
Join animal advocates on April 15th in front of Puppy Town on Tamiami Trail to protest puppy mills. By coming out and taking a stand, you are helping to heighten awareness of this issue, and sending a message to our county commissioners that we won’t stand for torture or animal cruelty in “Paradise”.
The protest will be held on Sunday from 1-3 at 4045 Tamiami Trail, across from Best Buy.
