Friends of the Paw Parks is a local chapter of Friends of Sarasota County Parks (FOSCP). We are dedicated to keeping our county paw parks safe, beautiful, and fun. FOSCP is a 501(c) non-profit organization that works closely with the Sarasota County Parks & Recreation department and brings volunteers together in the community to maintain and improve county parks with donated time, money, and valuable goods.
Friends of the Paw Parks is a newly formed group, looking for interested members to help us build a great paw park system. Becoming a Friend of the Paw Parks is easy and free. Visit the FOSCP web page. Click on the JOIN button – then enter your name and select Friends of the Paw Parks from the drop down menu and you are done!
You will be contacted shortly thereafter by email confirming your membership. Please be sure to confirm so that we can keep you up-to-date about Paw Park news.
Currently, there are no annual dues to join but we always are happy to accept any donation of any kind, none too small. If you are too busy to volunteer time, but you want to donate money or valuable goods, we also have a “CONTRIBUTE” button on FOSCP web page. It will explain how to donate and again, you can specify your gift to the Paw Parks chapter.
We are actively working on all five paw parks. You can help out with one or more of the parks. We will be planning community clean up days, fundraising events, and information gathering session – so look for us at your next visit to your favorite paw park. Check back to SarasotaDog.com frequently for updates.
