Attendance is free, but a donation of dog food/cat food or toys for the pets at Satchel’s Last Resort. Enjoy a glass of wine and bites from Morton’s. Shop for jewelry and meet other dog friends. March 4 – Lunch with Yorkies at the Polo Grill – Bring your yorkie or yorkie mix to the Yorkie Lunch at 12:15. Yorkie lovers and their dogs will be in the covered breezeway. March 5 – Paws in Motion Love to walk with your dog? This fun event benefits the Humane Society of Manatee. Join your fellow animal lovers for the Paws in Motion Walkathon Fundraiser! Sutton Park, 6th St. W. & 10th Ave. W in Palmetto Registration starts at 8 am, walk begins at 9 am. Vendors, food, raffles, and the ever popular Doggie Fun Zone will be back! Leashed dogs welcomed.
March 9 – Book Signing at Bookstore 1 Sarasota – Sarasota’s own Lucy Tobias is featured in the new Chicken Soup for the Soul’s My Very Good/Very Bad Dog which tells the story of Suzi, a Welsh Corgi and how she rescued Lucy and changed her life. 1359 Main Street, March 9 at 2:00 pm. March 20 – Beauty and the Beards will host a fundraiser at Tap & Cork, Venice. Join the party to support True and Faithful Pet Rescue Mission and Fairy Tail Endings. Tournament games, local music and choose from a variety of artisanal beers and wines. This is a fun laid-back party and a great way to meet other animal lovers.
