Though most public dog runs have signs explaining the park’s hard-and-fast deal breakers (Do Not Leave Your Pet Unattended; No Toys, Bones or Treats Allowed), there are unwritten rules about how you and your dog should play at the doggie playground. Pup Parade – Farmer's Market Saturday May 8th
Wake up get out bed, drag a comb across your pup’s head! There’s a parade and all dogs are invited this Saturday at the Farmer’s Market. You can pre-register at 9:30 am. Whether your dog looks good as a ballerina or a Harley Rider or simply eau naturelle join us for this fun day downtown. This benefit for the Humane Society of Sarasota County should be a colorful display of all things dog in Sarasota.
Stamps to the Rescue!
These stamps are on sale now! Ellen DeGeneres, and her company Halo, have already donated over 500,000 meals for shelter animals.
WASHINGTON — Postmaster General John E. Potter today unveiled the Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet commemorative postage stamps and announced the Stamps to the Rescue promotional campaign.
“These stamps continue a Postal Service tradition of bringing attention to serious social issues of the day … one letter at a time,” said Potter.
