In an effort to accommodate the ever-growing pet population in Sarasota County, officials have brought the total number of dog-friendly parks to a total of 71 across Sarasota, Venice, Osprey and Nokomis. Parks that are designated as dog-friendly require that dogs be on-leash but are welcome in those venues
